What is HAPTIC?
HAPTIC (Human-Aligned Protocol for Trustworthy, Informed Care) is StrokeWize's AI assistant designed to provide general stroke recovery information and guidance. It uses advanced language models to answer questions about stroke recovery, rehabilitation, and wellbeing.

How We Process Your Questions
Technical Infrastructure
HAPTIC is powered by Cloudflare Workers AI, which processes your questions in the following way:
- Your question is sent directly to Cloudflare's AI infrastructure via encrypted HTTPS connection
- The AI generates a response based on its training and our stroke-specific guidance
- The response is delivered to your browser immediately
- No logs, transcripts, or conversation history are retained on our servers
What We Store Locally
The only data stored is in your browser's localStorage:
- Consent status: Whether you've agreed to the AI terms (so we don't ask repeatedly)
- Timestamp: When consent was given
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Cloudflare's Privacy Practices
We've chosen Cloudflare Workers AI specifically for their strong privacy stance:
- Cloudflare does not use customer data to train AI models
- Data is processed in-memory and not logged
- Infrastructure is certified under ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other standards
- UK and EU data residency options ensure compliance with local regulations
