For over two decades, Asif Patel has worked at the intersection of clinical neuroscience and human performance. His career began in the NHS, where he quickly rose to clinical leadership in stroke services — a role that gave him firsthand insight into both the excellence of acute care and the gaps that emerge after patients leave the hospital.

But Asif's path wasn't conventional. Alongside his clinical work, he developed expertise in performance psychology, eventually becoming a consultant to elite athletes and high-pressure professional teams. He helped injured competitors return to sport, guided teams through psychological challenges, and witnessed the power of structured, evidence-based recovery frameworks.

"I kept seeing the same pattern: athletes had access to world-class recovery support, while stroke survivors — facing equally complex challenges — were left to figure it out alone. That disparity drove me to build something different."
